Program Overview
Cross-Border E-Commerce International Talent Training Program
In order to further strengthen close cooperation with the United Nations, the World Trade Organization, and other international organizations, the China Electronic Chamber of Commerce (CECC) and the International Trade Centre (ITC) jointly held the 'Trade Facilitation for E-Commerce Development Industry Dialogue Summit' at the United Nations' European Headquarters in Geneva on April 3, 2019. This event attracted a high degree of attention from relevant international organizations and the international community. During the conference, to promote the development of e-commerce, the ITC organized the summit, which garnered significant interest from various quarters. To foster international cooperation and exchanges in the digital economy, CECC and the United Nations International Trade Centre (ITC) conducted in-depth discussions in Geneva. They reached a consensus and discussed three major matters for the Memorandum of Cooperation: cooperation on the annual 'Dialogue Summit' during the E-Commerce Week in Geneva, cooperation in organizing the Cross-Border E-Commerce Summit during the China International Import Expo in Shanghai, and joint development of international cross-border e-commerce talent training projects. On November 6, 2019, CECC and ITC jointly organized the 2019 China International Cross-Border E-Commerce Development Forum during the 2nd China International Import Expo in Shanghai, where they officially signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. This established a platform for talent cultivation and exchanges, allowing more foreign friends to enter China and see its development opportunities. The first phase of the “International Talent Development Program for Cross-border E-commerce” training program graduated in September 2023. The second phase of the program will start in June 2024, targeting students from developing countries, including overseas and foreign students in China. The training will last for one academic year and will include theoretical courses as well as targeted enterprise practice.
